When I was a child, my family went to a production at the Raleigh Convention Center. Because the local Krispy Kreme was open 24/7, we wanted to get doughnuts and coffee (for my parents) before heading home to Henderson, NC after the show. Since we were not from Raleigh and the downtown area was constantly changing, we were not sure of the exact location of the Krispy Kreme. However, my parents were confident that driving around would eventually get us there.
We were all scanning everything outside the car windows, eager not to miss Krispy Kreme. Up and down one way streets, crossing this way and that. It was very late, so my little sister started to relax in the back seat. She was half-heartedly reading all the signs she saw. Then, questioningly she said, "Doug Nuts?" It took me a second or two to make the connection, then I yelled, "Doug Nuts! Doughnuts! The sign reads Krispy Kreme Doughnuts! Hayley found it! Daddy turn around; it was back there!!"
I won't ever forget that, and it was cool that my little sister was our heroine.
