OVERVIEW OF POSITION

The Graphic/Interactive Designer must be passionate about design and love thinking about how technology can help us strengthen our relationship with our guests.  He/she should be able to engage both the right and left brain to deliver ideas and carry them out with excellent technical skill and attention to creative detail. He/she will be a critical member of the marketing creative team providing creative solutions and content which will deliver rich experiences across a variety of digital and print mediums.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Partners closely with the Brand, Creative and Digital/Interactive teams to transform the brand creative vision and strategy into progressive and engaging digital content
    • Identifies opportunities for strong integration of national promotions in digital/social channels, as well as opportunities beyond the support of promotions and occasions that may live solely in those channels
  • Keeps  current on technology and marketing trends in digital spaces with a solid understanding of the process and principles of user-centered design
  • Delivers outstanding problem-solving and design sensibilities across a diverse range of digital mediums (consumer facing website, social campaigns via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, YouTube, etc., email blasts, guest engagement programs (loyalty), banner campaigns, digital point of sale, online advertisements, etc.)
  • Effectively completes a steady flow of creative projects for a variety of internal clients from Brand Development to Location Relationship Marketing (LRM), from Human Resources to franchise partners (both domestic and international), etc.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of brand standards and their application ensuring that all materials/content developed and implemented are in compliance and ladder up to the brand voice
  • Attends creative meetings and presents creative materials

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 4 years’ recent experience as a graphic/interactive designer in a fast-pasted work environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic, Web, Interactive/Digital Design, or other communication design-related field preferred
  • Expert in Adobe  Creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
  • Experienced also with working in Adobe Flash, After Effects and Premier
  • Demonstrated ability to configure, customize and work within CMS platforms
  • Ability to learn emerging technologies quickly
  • Knowledge of web design process development  and best practices, including information architecture, wire framing, usability testing and responsive design is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with an eye for design
  • Strong sense of typography and color
  • Experience with branding and identity design
  • Ability to articulate ideas and direction on storyboards
  • Experience with photography, retouching and video production desired
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, shift priorities and work under tight timelines while producing quality creative
  • Self-motivated with an innovative, can-do spirit, always ready to learn
  • Open and response to ongoing feedback from the Global Creative director and other key stakeholder
  • Excels in a highly collaborative environment
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines  and in a high pressure environment
  • Very adaptable with the ability to exercise patience and understanding throughout the creative approval process
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint (for creating templates and presentation designs)
  • Highly organized and accountable
  • Proactive and results oriented
