Warming Us Up Since Childhood

My fondest memory of Krispy Kreme, though all have been very lovely, is from a past winter. I was in the car, riding with my parents, and two of my sisters. We had Christmas jingles playing on the radio, and I remember that the streets were bare, and looked very light (even though it was growing dark). We were all freezing, but we wanted to keep the windows down to breathe in the scent of the coming rain. We were all bundled up, and just as we got onto a street with a Krispy Kreme, we saw a lit sign in the window light up. "Hot Now." Our dad looked at us through the rear view mirror and brought up his eyebrow. We all smiled, and headed for the warm dough-nuts! I remember holding onto that tasty pastry as it warmed my hands and my tummy once I began eating it. Gosh, I do not know why, but I truly love that memory, and I do know that if it would have been any other dough-nut parlor, the memory would just be a faint thought. Thank you, Krispy Kreme! <3
