A Lesson in History

While a full time History teacher in Western Michigan I developed a section of American History that I used to teach about true American industries. It was a natural fit to segment Krispy Kreme Doughnut and Coffee Co. It was exciting to show the origins and expansion of a company that grew because it had something Americans loved, doughnuts and coffee. Our private school took advantage of the fundraising opportunities and did quite well. We celebrated often with dozens of Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts. We really ate up history the subject matter that month in history. What a great company not only for impacting the economy of the US and then spreading literally around the world with the sweet taste of an American success story that just keeps getting better and better every year!
